World Trade Distribution offers integrated container trucking and container drayage services. Our trucking fleet has been handling drayage needs for Houston’s Marine Terminals and rail ways for the past 30 years. Import and export transportation and container haulage services for flat bed trailers, open tops, standard and high cube containers, as well as ISO tanks are always handled with the utmost in care and efficiency. We have an extensive fleet of tri-axle chassis for heavy containers and our trucking fleet is permitted with the Super Heavy Permit issued by the State of Texas which allows us to “heavy haul” containers and cargo 5% over legal gross weight limit and 10% over legal axle weight limit.
Project Cargo Transport Services
Project cargo transportation services are also available. Pipe, oversized pumps, storage tanks, and other break bulk pieces are all heavy / out-of-gauge cargos we handle on a regular basis. Tri-axles, flat racks, open tops and other specialized equipment are available for requiring cargos. Our vast, all-concrete storage yard in conjunction with our trucking fleet allows us to provide flexible service packages that are customized to fit your cargos needs and your company’s budget.
Overweight Containers – With new featherweight trucks and chassis that weigh considerably less than your standard tractor trailer rig, we can legally haul an extra 6000 pounds of freight per a container. Import or export alike, your overweight containers now have a second option when it comes to being stranded at the port. With a fully equipped container freight station and customs exam site, World Trade Distribution now has the ability to dray your overweight container, transload your overweight cargo, and deliver your heavy freight to its destination on time.
World Trade has interchange agreements for intermodal drayage with the UPRR and BNSF Railroads as well as all steamship lines calling on the Houston Port terminals as member of the UIIA (Uniform Intermodal Interchange and Facilities Access Agreement).
All World Trade trucks are customs bonded to allow for uninterrupted movement of containers or freight from rail or terminal to our facility while clearance or other bonded warehouse requirements are in process. This could include PTT (Permit to Transfer), General Order (GO), CES, Warehouse Entry freight and other In Bond freight. World Trade also provides bonded intermodal drayage / transport to warehouses at inland and port cities or along the Mexican border, i.e. Laredo, Brownsville, Del Rio, Harlingen and El Paso.
